Roker Pier to South Shields
A coastal section is followed by the Cleadon Hills with extensive views in all directions.. Return to the coast at Marsden Rock and continue to South Shields and its many sites of historical interest. The route passes close to several notable lighthouses and visits a memorial to lifeboat men.

How Do I Get There?
To the start:
Metro or rail or Bus 56 to Sunderland Park Lane then Bus 18 or 19 to Roker. Or Metro to Sunderland then Bus to Roker.

Return:
Metro to Gateshead/Newcastle or Bus 27 to Gateshead Interchange.
