North Shields to Seaton Sluice
Follow the River Tyne towards the sea, passing the busy Fish Quay and Tynemouth Castle and Priory. Walk along the coast, noting Spanish City at Whitley Bay and continue past St. Mary’s Island. Finish by the dramatic Cut at Seaton Sluice.

To the start:
Metro to North Shields then a short walk down to the ferry.
Bus: 306 from Haymarket bus station then a short walk down to the ferry.
Return:
Bus 308 or 309
